Chianti classico 2013

2013 a cool vintage with regulary to late harvest around the third week of september and quite rainy spring: a sample of 2014...

Badia a Coltibuono - Gaiole. Vivid pale ruby, floral and fruity aroma, with a touch of black pepper; firm, slightly skinny palate, balanced acidity and medium warmth. Need bottle ageing.

Bibbiano - Castellina. Bright intense ruby hue with a rich nose of cherry, chocolate flavour, firm on the palate, brisk acidity balanced with high alcohol. Well structured, savoury.

Brancaia - Radda. Vivid ruby pink at rim, floral aroma of iris, cherry, velvety tannins, brisk acidity, slightly thin palate shape but good end of licorice. Ready to drink.

Castello di Monsanto - Barberino Val d'Elsa. Vivid ruby with pink rim, fruity of rasperry and cherry combined with a floral aroma, velvety, brisk and enought broad on the palate for the vintage. Good end.

Castello di Vicchiomaggio - Greve. Vivid watering ruby, spicy, cherry, black pepper, licorice, ripe tannin mainly for Greve, well bind brisk acidity and alcohol. Good lenght
